Bonus based on performance Competitive salary Flexible schedule Paid time off Training & development Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our growing HVAC company. The General Manager will be responsible for leading all aspects of the business, including sales, service, installation, customer satisfaction, financial performance, staffing, training, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with HVAC industry experience who can build high-performing teams, improve profitability, and ensure exceptional customer service while maintaining the company's values and standards. Responsibilities Operations Management Oversee daily operations of the service, maintenance, replacement, and installation departments. Develop and implement operational processes to improve efficiency and profitability. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and hold department leaders accountable for results. Ensure all work is performed in compliance with local codes, safety regulations, and company standards. Manage scheduling, dispatching, and workflow optimization. Financial Management Responsible for achieving revenue, gross profit, and net profit goals. Review and analyze financial reports, budgets, and operational metrics. Manage company expenses and identify opportunities to improve profitability. Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning. Monitor inventory, purchasing, and equipment utilization. Team Leadership Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop employees across all departments. Conduct performance evaluations and implement accountability measures. Foster a positive culture focused on teamwork, professionalism, and customer service. Lead regular team meetings and training initiatives. Develop succession plans and career growth opportunities for employees. Sales & Business Development Work closely with sales teams to achieve revenue targets. Monitor lead conversion rates, average ticket values, and closing percentages. Develop strategies to increase maintenance agreements and replacement sales. Build and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, builders, and community partners. Identify growth opportunities in residential and commercial markets. Customer Experience Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and retention. Resolve escalated customer concerns professionally and promptly. Monitor online reviews, customer feedback, and service quality metrics. Implement initiatives to improve customer experience and brand reputation. Qualifications Required 5+ years of management experience in the HVAC, plumbing, electrical, home services, or related industry. Proven track record of leading teams and achieving business growth. Strong understanding of HVAC operations, service, installation, and sales processes. Experience managing budgets, P&L statements, and financial performance. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Preferred 7+ years of HVAC industry experience. Experience with ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, or similar field service software. Knowledge of residential replacement sales and maintenance agreement programs. Business management or related degree.
