This role involves managing leasing processes, ensuring compliance with fair housing regulations, and fostering positive relationships with prospective and current tenants. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, a solid understanding of property management systems, and a customer-centric approach to leasing. This position plays a vital role in maximizing occupancy rates while maintaining adherence to legal and regulatory standards. Responsibilities Manage the end-to-end leasing process, including property showings, application screening, and lease signing. Utilize property management software such as Yardi and OneSite to maintain accurate tenant records and facilitate data entry. Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 guidelines, and other relevant legal requirements. Conduct negotiations with prospective tenants, upselling available units and lease terms to meet occupancy goals. Prepare, review, and manage lease contracts, amendments, and legal documentation with attention to detail. Coordinate property maintenance requests and facilitate communication between tenants and facilities management teams. Handle conflict management professionally by addressing tenant concerns promptly and effectively. Maintain excellent customer service standards through phone etiquette, in-person interactions, and written communication. Support landlord-tenant law compliance by staying informed of legal updates and implementing necessary procedures. Assist in marketing efforts by promoting available units through various channels and engaging in sales activities. Maintain organized filing systems for leasing documents, contracts, and correspondence. Experience Proven experience in property leasing or property management roles, ideally within LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) or affordable housing environments. Familiarity with Yardi, OneSite, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), and other property management tools. Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 programs, and legal administrative procedures. Experience working with real estate administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, contracts management, and office operations. Demonstrated ability to handle conflict resolution effectively while maintaining professionalism. Customer service experience with a focus on client relationship management in a fast-paced environment. Skills in negotiation, upselling rental units or services, and contract administration. Office experience that includes phone etiquette, administrative support functions, and facilities management.
