Job Description

As an Assistant Liaison/Property Manager your primary goal will be learning about the day-to-day operations management of a Liaison for our co-op member properties. As an Assistant Liaison/Property Manager you are required to gain an understanding how to develop and maintain professional relationships with members on and off-site. As well as learning how to coordinate Leasing, Maintenance, Finance, and Facilities operations of multiple co-op properties to create and maintain overall successful and fluid processes. As an Assistant Liaison/Property Manager you will work with and support our volunteer members. You will help ensure a rewarding experience by helping to educate them on HUD, Fair Housing laws, and CSI procedures. This role will also educate you on working with staff and committees to manage vacancies. This position includes learning about the co-op system, working with the Senior Liaison staff to meet operational goals, and supporting the entire Liaison department. Duties may include clerical and administrative duties as well as any assignments or projects designated by your immediate supervisor. Maintain a positive attitude Provide continuing support for volunteersSupport the Liaison department with administrative and clerical dutiesHelp with daily office duties (filing, organizing)Liaising with tenants to provide information and address their complaints and concerns.

Maintaining and storing documentation effectivelyAttain knowledge in understanding the full spectrum of responsibilities and day-to-day tasks involved with property management Assist with special projects as neededAssist Liaison team with financial reporting, operating and capital budget preparation & reforecastsGain experience in financial analysis and value creation at the asset-level
Competencies Communication:
An Assistant Liaison/Property Manager must be able to communicate information and ideas clearly and articulately both in oral and written form. Uses appropriate language, style and methods depending on audience and the purpose of communication. Able to convey complex information clearly. Anticipates the information that others will need.
Planning & Organizing:
Someone in this position must be able to achieve results in a quality, timely, and cost-effective way. Sees priorities, plans the efficient use of resources, and monitors progress against objectives. Anticipates crucial stages in projects. Formulates alternative means of achieving objectives. Responds effectively to unforeseen events.
Flexibility & Adaptability:
To be successful in this position the Assistant Liaison/Property Manager must actively seek to learn new things on their own initiative. Has responded positively to change and adapted to new situations quickly. Able to take on a diverse range of tasks equally effectively.
Teamwork:
Actively participates in team. Encourages co-operation. Aware of the needs of others and responds flexibly. Shares information and supports other team members. Can get things done through others and set realistic objectives.
Researching & Investigating:
This position requires recognizing information needs and identifying and utilizing appropriate information sources. Persists in seeking information and adopts a variety of strategies.
