Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Onsite Apartment Manager to oversee 52 unit daily operations at our residential community. This pivotal role involves managing property leasing, maintaining excellent tenant relationships, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations, and coordinating property maintenance. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach to property management, exceptional customer service skills, and a strong understanding of legal and administrative procedures related to residential leasing. This position offers a dynamic environment where you can make a meaningful impact on residents' living experiences while ensuring operational excellence. Responsibilities Manage all aspects of property leasing, including conducting tours, processing applications, and upselling available units to prospective tenants. Maintain positive tenant relationships through effective communication, conflict management, and prompt resolution of issues. Ensure compliance with Section 8, Fair Housing regulations, and other legal requirements governing residential properties. Oversee property maintenance coordination by liaising with facilities management teams and tracking work orders using property management software such as Yardi. Administer lease agreements, contracts, and legal documentation with accuracy and attention to detail. Conduct regular inspections of the property to ensure safety standards are met and facilities are well-maintained. Handle administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate records related to tenant files, rent payments, and legal documentation. Utilize customer relationship management tools to enhance resident engagement and retention strategies. Requirements Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles with a focus on residential leasing. Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, and Section 8 housing policies. Familiarity with property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, or similar platforms. Excellent customer service skills combined with effective conflict management and negotiation abilities. Office experience including data entry, filing, phone etiquette, and handling contracts efficiently. Ability to coordinate property maintenance activities using facilities management systems like CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System). Legal administrative experience related to lease agreements and housing regulations is highly desirable.
