Residential Manager /
Group Home Manager Starting Pay:

Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Life Insurance Retirement Plan Paid Time Off (PTO) Flexible Scheduling Job Summary The Residential Manager / Group Home Manager oversees the daily operations of a community-based residential facility for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). This is a highly dynamic leadership role requiring an "all-hands-on-deck" approach. Working closely with the Program Manager, Medical Supervisor, and RN, you will lead a team of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and manage administrative tasks, while remaining fully prepared to step into the field—whether that means handling an office crisis or rolling up your sleeves to provide direct care alongside your team.
Key Responsibilities Staff Supervision, Scheduling & Adaptability Supervising DSPs:
Lead, mentor, and evaluate a team of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to ensure high-quality care.
Staff Scheduling & Coverage:
Coordinate master schedules to meet proper coverage ratios while managing overtime.
Flexible Deployment:
Serve as the ultimate utility player—ready to hop in anywhere to fill scheduling gaps immediately, whether stepping into administrative tasks or taking on a hands-on DSP care shift.
On-Call Support:
Maintain availability via a company cell phone to field emergencies, schedule changes, and general staff or participant issues.
Timesheet Verification:
Review and verify employee timesheets and service logs alongside the Office Manager.
Facility Operations & Care Management Operational Logs:
Oversee meal planning scheduling, grocery shopping, facility cleanliness, and routine safety checks.
Regulatory Compliance:
Log monthly emergency drills and water temperature reports in Therap.
Direct Care & Goals:
Support and model daily living skills for residents, empowering them to meet their Person-Centered Support Plan (PCSP) goals.
Medication Administration:
Safely administer medications within Level 1 Medication Aide guidelines.
Documentation & Quality Assurance Clinical Data Entry:
Document daily progress, service notes, and Medication Administration Records (MAR) accurately.
Incident Management:
Complete General Event Reports (GER) thoroughly within established policy windows.
Requirements BreakdownExperience & Education Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.
DSP Experience:
Proven, hands-on experience working directly with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD).
Group Home Experience:
Strong familiarity with the workflows, safety protocols, and environment of residential care settings.
Supervisory Experience:
Prior experience leading teams, managing personnel, and building staff schedules.
Licensure & Certifications Class E Driver's License:
Preferred at hire, but not an absolute dealbreaker. If you do not have it, you must be willing and able to train towards obtaining it quickly to utilize company transport vehicles. Level 1
Medication Aide Certification:
(Missouri standard) Required or able to be obtained.
CPR and First Aid Certifications:
Required.
Backgrounds & Technical Skills Background Clearance:
Must pass a clean background screening via the Missouri Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR) and be authorized to work in the U.S.
Technical Proficiency:
Comfortable utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for administrative tracking, as well as electronic health record platforms ( Therap ).
Flexibility:
Willingness to work holiday coverage shifts, rotate on-call duties, or float to alternative local facilities depending on staffing needs. Moniteau County SB40 Board is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
