Job Description

Property Manager (Part-Time, Potential for Full-Time Growth) We are seeking a dedicated and personable Property Manager to join our team at the Juniper Apartments, our flagship multi-family residential complex in Alamogordo. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone interested in gaining hands-on experience in property management with the potential to grow into a full-time role. The successful candidate will work on-site in our office, providing exceptional service to tenants and supporting the day-to-day operations of our properties.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to tenant inquiries with courteous, professional, and timely communication Follow up on work orders to ensure timely resolution and tenant satisfaction Screen and approve rental applications in accordance with company policies and fair housing laws Post vacancies and assist in marketing efforts to attract prospective tenants Collect rent payments Post notices and enforce policies related to nonpayment or noncompliance Oversee the move-in and move-out process from start to finish, ensuring a smooth transition for tenants Maintain accurate records of tenant interactions, payments, and property activities Assist with general administrative tasks related to property management
Skills and Qualifications:
Previous experience in customer service, leasing, or property management preferred but not required Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and time management abilities Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and professionally Excellent computer skills (a typing test may be issued) familiarity with property management software is a plus Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to work approximately 25-30 hours per week, with potential for increased hours and full-time employment as the role develops A proactive attitude and a desire to grow within the property management field Willingness to obtain a real estate license preferred and will be paid by the company Join our team and become part of a supportive, growth-oriented environment dedicated to providing quality housing and excellent service.
