With a reputation for excellence and a commitment to delivering superior service to our clients and residents, we are seeking an experienced Assistant Property Manager to join our team and continue our tradition of excellence. Job Summary We're in search of an organized, detail-oriented, and motivated Assistant Property Manager to support the day-to-day operations of a large residential co-operative in Flushing, NY. This role works closely with the Property Manager to ensure the efficient operation of the property while delivering exceptional service to the Board of Directors, shareholders, residents, and vendors. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills, along with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Fluency in both Mandarin and English (written and spoken) is required. Responsibilities Board, Shareholder & Resident Relations Assist the Property Manager with the day-to-day operations of a large residential co-operative. Serve as an on-site management point of contact for the Board of Directors, shareholders, residents, and building staff. Respond to shareholder and resident inquiries, concerns, and maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner. Assist in preparing board meeting materials, management reports, correspondence, and building notices. Foster positive relationships with shareholders and residents while maintaining a high level of customer service. Vendor Management Coordinate with vendors and contractors for maintenance, repairs and building improvement projects. Schedule vendors, obtain proposals, and monitor project progress. Maintain vendor insurance certificates and contract documentation. Administrative & Financial Support Maintain organized digital and physical property files. Support the Property Manager with daily operational and administrative responsibilities as needed. Compliance Work with the Property Manager in a collaborative manner to ensure that the property remains compliant with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Maintain records related to inspections, permits, and compliance documentation. Assist with legal and compliance matters as needed. Coordinate maintenance requests, inspections, repairs, and follow up to ensure timely completion. Conduct routine property inspections and report maintenance or operational concerns. Assist with move-ins, move-outs, alteration requests, and other resident-related processes. Maintain organized property records and administrative documentation. Requirements Fluency in Mandarin and English (spoken and written) is required. Minimum of 2-3 years of residential co-operative property management experience preferred. Strong communication, organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe and property management software, including but not limited to Vantaca and Monday.com. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Real Estate, or a related field is preferred.
