Position Summary The Property Manager is responsible for the overall operations, financial performance, and resident satisfaction of the apartment community. This role oversees leasing, maintenance, budgeting, staff management, and customer service while ensuring the property operates efficiently and meets occupancy and revenue goals. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional resident experiences. Key Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the apartment community.
Lead, mentor, and support the onsite leasing and maintenance teams.
Ensure exceptional customer service is provided to current and prospective residents.
Monitor occupancy, leasing activity, renewals, and resident retention.
Manage rent collections, delinquency, and resident accounts.
Prepare reports, budgets, and financial documentation.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure quality service.
Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and company policies.
Conduct regular property inspections to maintain community standards.
Address resident concerns and resolve issues professionally and promptly.
Qualifications
Required
Previous Property Manager experience in a multifamily apartment community.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations.
Experience with budgeting, rent collections, and financial reporting.
Excellent customer service, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
Preferred
Experience with property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, Entrata, RealPage, Blue Moon, or similar platforms.
CAM, CAPS, or other industry certifications are a plus.
Experience overseeing capital improvement projects and vendor management.
Work Environment
Professional office setting within a multifamily apartment community.
Frequent interaction with residents, vendors, and team members.
Fast-paced environment requiring strong leadership and multitasking skills.
Occasional weekend availability may be required.
