Corp. is looking for an in-office full-time Assistant Project and Property Manager to join our team! JAMES Development is a Manhattan-based owner and operator of Condo and Coop units in New York City, Westchester County and Nassau County. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Responsible for assisting with the daily management of a portfolio of cooperative /condominium units. Responsible for assisting with the daily management of residential construction projects Maintain the accuracy of the construction files and documents to ensure accurate records are kept. Assist with all aspects of building management. Act as liaison between building management and tenants Consistently maintain knowledge and changes of the properties. Maintain the accuracy of the building and tenant files and documents to ensure accurate records are kept. Inspect tenant units upon permission of access with respect to alterations and work orders. Manage rent arrears including tracking arrears at least twice per month, sending arrears letters to the appropriate list of tenants, and reviewing and discussing the arrears reports with the property manager when needed. Answer phone calls, messages, and emails promptly; within a few hours but never to exceed 24 hours. Responsible for assisting in the collection of tenant's monthly rent. Assist with the contractor and vendor selection for tenant repairs Assist with billing, sales and lease inquiries. Assist with management reporting. assist with distributing and effectuating leases in accordance with RSA guidelines
Knowledge, Skills & Proficiencies:
Bachelor's degree required. Zero (0) - Two (2) years' experience in New York City residential condominium and cooperative property management. Must have superior verbal and written communications skills and proven customer service exposure. Must possess high energy and positive attitude when dealing with stressful situations and daily tasks. Must be extremely organized, consistent, able to multitask and adaptable to change. Proven leadership and teamwork skills and attributes. Working knowledge of Microsoft office and Windows environment is necessary. Experience with MDS and Quickbooks is a plus
