Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Property Manager Assistant to join our dynamic property management team. This energetic role is vital in supporting the daily operations of residential and commercial properties, ensuring smooth leasing processes, tenant relations, and property maintenance. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate excellent customer service skills, and possess a strong understanding of property management systems and legal regulations. Responsibilities Assist with leasing activities, including showing properties, processing applications, and upselling available units to prospective tenants Support property managers with lease negotiations, contract preparation, and renewal processes Maintain accurate data entry within property management software such as Yardi and OneSite Handle tenant inquiries via phone and email with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction Coordinate property maintenance requests and facilitate communication between tenants and maintenance teams using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, Landlord-Tenant laws, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) programs, Section 8 housing policies, and other legal requirements Manage administrative tasks such as filing, document organization, and data entry related to leasing, rent payments, and legal documentation Support conflict management efforts by mediating tenant concerns and assisting with resolution strategies Contribute to facilities management by monitoring property conditions and assisting in coordinating repairs or upgrades Requirements Prior experience in real estate administrative roles or property management support preferred Knowledge of LIHTC, Section 8 housing programs, Fair Housing regulations, Landlord-Tenant law, and related legal frameworks Proficiency in property management software is highly desirable Strong customer service skills with excellent phone etiquette and conflict resolution abilities Experience with contracts, lease agreements, and negotiation processes Office experience including data entry, filing, and administrative support functions Familiarity with property maintenance procedures and facilities management practices Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication skills with a professional demeanor for interacting with tenants, vendors, and team members Assist property manager with apartment showings, preparing leases, paying some bills, etc. Join us as a Property Manager Assistant to play a key role in delivering exceptional service while gaining valuable experience in the vibrant world of property management.
