Job Description
Job Overview Are you the rare individual that is both skilled in construction and maintenance but also with the aptitude to develop residential property leading to a master-planned community? Career opportunity exists to gradually develop 600 acres in Athens/Hocking County into a residential community catering to hocking hills tourism, homeowners, and seasonal visitors. Looking for an individual that has (or wishes to develop) the full spectrum of trades skills as well as progress in the world of real estate development. Responsibilities will include working in a wide variety of construction and renovation areas, including Residential Plumbing and Electrical wiring; General Carpentry; General Household repairs; Large and small hand tool operation; and heavy equipment/Excavation. Ideally, the candidate would also a keen interest in residential development and develop over time working in conjunction with a strong, experienced leadership team. The candidate should also have the foundational computer, communications, and management skills necessary to lead a large-scale resort development. The position will also require an aptitude in or interest in developing skills in management, construction, renovation, and maintenance. Skills and abilities preferred but not required include: General carpentry skills, including framing, finish work, etc. Plumbing and electrical experience Comprehensive residential and commercial maintenance experience Strong computer application skills Experience with heavy equipment Strong work ethic and ability to work independently Interest in working as part of a proven real estate leadership team and professionally developing within the field. Position offers long-term job security and positively impacts the local community. Extensive real estate and management training provided. $46,000 to $90,000 annually based on experience and qualifications.
