Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and organized Assistant Property Manager to support the daily operations of a multi-site multifamily property portfolio in the Bellefontaine, Ohio area. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, enjoys working with residents, and can help keep multiple properties running efficiently. The Assistant Property Manager will work closely with the Property Manager and maintenance team to support leasing, resident communication, rent collection, administrative duties, property inspections, and general day-to-day operations. Key Responsibilities Manage resident communication in a professional and timely manner. Assist with leasing, including showing available units, following up with prospects, processing applications, and preparing lease documents. Support rent collection efforts, including tracking balances, sending reminders, and assisting with delinquency follow-up. Help coordinate move-ins, move-outs, renewals, and resident notices. Maintain accurate resident files, lease records, work orders, and property documentation. Assist with scheduling and tracking maintenance requests. Walk properties regularly to identify maintenance, curb appeal, safety, or compliance issues. Coordinate with contractors and vendors on unit turns, renovations, repairs, and capital improvement projects. Assist with budgeting and tracking costs related to turns, renovations, maintenance work, and property improvements. Help manage the process and timeline for unit turns and renovation projects to ensure work is completed efficiently and on schedule. Inspect completed turns, renovations, and contractor work to confirm quality, scope completion, and readiness for occupancy. Communicate with vendors, contractors, and service providers as needed to obtain bids, schedule work, and follow up on completion. Help ensure properties are clean, safe, and well-maintained. Support monthly reporting, inspections, and administrative tasks. Assist with enforcing lease terms, community rules, and company policies. Qualifications Prior property management, leasing, administrative, or customer service experience preferred. Multifamily housing experience is a plus. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple properties, tasks, and deadlines. Comfortable using property management software, email, and basic Microsoft Office tools. Professional, dependable, and able to work independently. Strong attention to detail and follow-through. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required, as travel between local property sites will be necessary. Pay:
