This energetic leader will oversee daily property functions, foster positive resident relationships, ensure compliance with housing regulations, and drive community engagement. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for property management, exceptional customer service skills, and a strategic mindset to create vibrant, well-maintained living environments that residents love. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence community success while ensuring operational excellence and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the community, including leasing, maintenance, resident relations, and administrative functions Manage leasing activities, including property tours, upselling available units, and negotiating lease agreements to maximize occupancy Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 programs, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and other relevant legal requirements Supervise property maintenance and facilities management to maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, and curb appeal Utilize property management software such as Yardi and OneSite for data entry, lease administration, reporting, and recordkeeping Handle legal administrative tasks related to landlord-tenant law, contracts, and dispute resolution with professionalism and transparency Foster positive relationships with residents through excellent customer service and conflict management strategies Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure timely property repairs and upkeep using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools Lead staff recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and team development initiatives to build a motivated workforce Maintain accurate filing systems for legal documents, lease files, maintenance records, and compliance documentation Skills Extensive knowledge of property management practices including leasing, maintenance, and tenant relations Proficiency in property management software such as Yardi and OneSite; familiarity with CMMS systems is a plus Strong understanding of Fair Housing regulations, landlord-tenant law, Section 8 housing programs, and LIHTC compliance Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle conflict management effectively Proven negotiation skills for lease agreements and vendor contracts Experience in real estate administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, contract management, and legal documentation Effective communication skills with professional phone etiquette for resident interactions and vendor negotiations Ability to upsell units while maintaining ethical standards; experience in sales is advantageous Facilities management knowledge including property maintenance oversight and safety protocols Office experience with administrative responsibilities such as filing systems, recordkeeping, and report generation Join us as a Community General Manager where your leadership will shape vibrant neighborhoods!
