Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Resident Service Coordinator to join our team and play a vital role in enhancing the lives of residents within our community. This energetic professional will serve as a dedicated point of contact, providing support, resources, and advocacy to ensure residents' needs are met with enthusiasm and professionalism. The ideal candidate will foster a welcoming environment, coordinate essential services, and promote resident engagement to build a vibrant, supportive community. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in residents' lives while developing valuable skills in social work, crisis intervention, and community development. Duties Act as the primary liaison between residents and service providers, ensuring clear communication and timely support. Assist residents with accessing community resources such as childcare, Section 8 housing, Medicare, and workforce development programs. Coordinate and facilitate resident meetings, events, and workshops to promote community involvement and empowerment. Conduct assessments to identify residents' needs related to behavioral health, addiction counseling, child welfare, or crisis management. Provide crisis intervention when necessary, offering immediate support and connecting residents with appropriate professional services. Support residents facing challenges by mentoring them through problem-solving strategies and motivational interviewing techniques. Collaborate with social workers, healthcare providers, and local agencies to ensure comprehensive care for residents experiencing hardship or emergencies. Supervise or mentor junior staff or volunteers involved in resident support activities. Maintain detailed records of resident interactions, service plans, and progress notes in compliance with privacy regulations. Qualifications Proven experience in social work, behavioral health, or related fields such as crisis intervention or addiction counseling. Strong understanding of crisis management techniques and behavioral health principles. Experience supervising staff or volunteers is highly desirable. Knowledge of housing programs including Section 8 and child welfare services is preferred. Familiarity with Medicare policies and workforce development initiatives beneficial. Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage diverse populations through motivational interviewing and mentoring. Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and compassion while maintaining confidentiality.
