Job Description

Overview Facilitates the movement of property and materials throughout Cherokee Nation WW Hastings Hospital and CN Health Services from acquisition to distribution. Assures that a property record is established and maintained for all existing and newly acquired property classified as an asset. Assures the maintenance of records for all non-tribal property. Qualifications
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT
High school education; or general education degree (GED).
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
An additional one year experience and/or training in management of inventory, materials, property, plant and equipment, or office work is required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Certification indicating successful completion of courses and/or training in property management equivalent in content to Federal Property Management training is desired. Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwirting rating.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must possess user knowledge of personal computer software and disk operating systems. Knowledgeable of inventory and property management systems and the ability to manage such systems in an efficient manner. Professional information of the principles and practices of governmental and/or tribal budgeting and accounting. Knowledge of guidelines, policies and procedures, and regulations regarding asset management as set forth by established guidelines. Ability to reconcile all property and maintain accurate property and supply records according to guidelines and regulations. Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with other staff, vendors, tribal and governmental agencies as well as the public, both orally and in writing.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Employee must not and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
