Phone Numbers Job Summary:
The primary objective of the Leasing Assistant is to assist the Property Manager with leasing activities to secure prospective residents, assist with resident retention and general building operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide customer service to prospective residents, including property tours, telephone/email/web inquiries.
  • Assist with marketing and communications through various online platforms and complete marketing reports as needed.
  • Track and follow-up with prospective tenants utilizing traffic logs and guest cards.
  • Process applications, prepare leases, and perform move-in prep.
  • Ensure all paperwork for new resident move in and renewals are completed by all parties in a timely manner prior to move-in or renewal deadline.
  • Assist with move-in and move out documentation.
  • Enter resident activity into AppFolio accurately and timely.
  • Assist with lease renewal generation, notices, and completion of other items as needed by the Property Manager.
  • Ensure building is consistently ready for property tours in appearance, cleanliness, maintenance of vacant units, community amenities and building common areas. Promptly notify appropriate staff of safety concerns or deficiencies in the property's appearance.
  • Attend training and development seminars.
  • Comply with all Fair Housing & Equal Housing Opportunity requirements.
  • Comply with all appropriate state and local landlord/tenant statutes.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Multi-family leasing experience.
  • AppFolio experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task, resolve conflicts, and communicate effectively.
  • Demonstrates teamwork, good hygiene, excellent customer service skills
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position operates in a professional office environment and outdoors on property grounds. This role requires the employee to be in the office or on-site on a daily basis.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Approximately 80% in office environment using computer and phone
  • Approximately 20% inspecting property grounds, including apartments, building structure, landscaping, and signage which may require the ability to climb stairs, ladders and maneuver walkways
  • Ability to carry or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds
