May 31, 2026 Apartment Manager Growing Multi-Family Housing Community A confidential company managing a 55-unit apartment community is seeking a dependable, organized, and proactive Apartment Manager to oversee day-to-day property operations. This position is ideal for an experienced property management professional who thrives in a dynamic environment, takes initiative, and can effectively balance administrative, operational, and tenant relations responsibilities. The Apartment Manager will play a key role in maintaining resident satisfaction, coordinating property operations, and supporting ownership objectives. Leadership experience is preferred, as the role may oversee one to two direct reports. Job Summary The Apartment Manager is responsible for the overall administration and management of a 55-unit apartment community. This role includes resident communication, leasing support, vendor coordination, property oversight, and administrative functions. The position offers flexible scheduling and works closely with ownership to ensure efficient property operations and a positive resident experience. An overnight on-call service will handle after-hours emergency calls and maintenance issues. Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the apartment community Serve as the primary point of contact for residents and tenant inquiries Coordinate leasing activities, move-ins, and move-outs Maintain accurate tenant files, records, and documentation Work with contractors, vendors, and service providers to address property needs Monitor property conditions and ensure community standards are maintained Assist with rent collection and administrative reporting Support budgeting, invoice processing, and operational tracking Supervise and provide direction to one or two team members as needed Partner with ownership on special projects and property initiatives Core Competencies Strong leadership and interpersonal skills Self-starter with the ability to work independently Quick learner who adapts to changing priorities Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent verbal and written communication Customer service and resident relations focus Problem-solving and decision-making abilities Attention to detail and follow-through Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously Familiarity with Microsoft Office and standard office applications Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required 2-3 years of apartment management experience required Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred Experience working with contractors and vendors preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other office applications Strong administrative and organizational background Position Details Flexible work schedule Approximately 30-40 hours per week Schedule may include three half-days per week, with flexibility based on business needs Overnight emergency calls handled by an on-call service provider
