Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, a solid understanding of property management regulations, and the ability to manage tenant relations effectively. This role requires a proactive approach to maintaining property standards, ensuring legal compliance, and fostering positive relationships with tenants and vendors alike. Duties Manage property leasing processes, including marketing available units, conducting tours, and negotiating lease agreements. Oversee property maintenance and facilities management to ensure properties are well-maintained and compliant with safety standards. Handle tenant relations, addressing inquiries, resolving conflicts, and ensuring high levels of customer service. Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, landlord-tenant laws, Section 8 programs, and LIHTC requirements. Maintain accurate records through data entry, filing, and property management software such as Yardi and OneSite. Administer legal administrative tasks related to contracts, lease renewals, and legal notices. Coordinate with maintenance teams using CMMS systems for work orders and facilities management. Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify issues requiring attention or repair. Upsell additional services or amenities to tenants to enhance occupancy rates and revenue. Manage tenant screening processes in accordance with Fair Housing laws and Section 8 guidelines. Maintain effective communication with tenants via phone etiquette and professional customer relationship management practices. Requirements Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles. Knowledge of LIHTC, Section 8 housing programs, landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, and legal administrative procedures. Proficiency in property management software such as AppFolio Strong customer service skills with excellent phone etiquette and conflict management abilities. Experience in property leasing, sales, negotiation, contracts administration, and facilities management. Office experience including data entry, filing, and general administrative tasks. Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent organizational skills combined with problem-solving capabilities. Valid administrative or real estate license preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.
