Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic property management team as an Assistant Property Manager and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and exceptional service delivery across our residential communities. This energetic position offers the opportunity to develop your expertise in property leasing, tenant relations, and administrative functions while supporting the overall success of our property portfolio. You will help maintain compliance with Fair Housing regulations, managing lease agreements, and fostering positive relationships with residents and vendors alike. Responsibilities Assist in managing daily property operations, including leasing, rent collection, and maintenance coordination Assist with resolving resident problems, conflicts, lease violations & properly documenting these activities Utilize Buildium property management software to enter data, receive payments, and maintain accurate records Handle administrative tasks related to lease agreements, contracts, and compliance with Fair Housing laws Respond promptly to tenant inquiries via phone and email, providing excellent customer service and conflict resolution Coordinate property maintenance requests to ensure properties are well-maintained Maintain organized filing systems for legal documents, tenant files, and maintenance records Manage landlord-tenant law compliance by understanding lease terms, eviction procedures, and dispute resolution processes Support leasing efforts through sales techniques, negotiation of lease terms, and fostering positive tenant relationships Experience Proven experience in real estate administrative roles or property management support functions Familiarity with property leasing processes and customer relationship management (CRM) systems Knowledge of LIHTC regulations, Section 8 programs, Fair Housing laws, and landlord-tenant law Hands-on experience with Buildium software preferred; strong data entry skills required Office experience involving filing, legal documentation handling, and phone etiquette essential Demonstrated ability to manage conflict effectively while maintaining professionalism in high-pressure situations Background in facilities management or property maintenance coordination is a plus Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in contract administration and legal compliance This energetic role offers a chance to grow within a vibrant team dedicated to excellence in property management.
