Job Description

Job Summary As a Vacation Rental Inspector, you'll play a vital role in ensuring guests of Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort enjoy a clean, safe, and exceptional stay. As a part of the accommodations team, this position is responsible for inspecting resort homes and villas to ensure they meet cleanliness, quality, and comfort standards prior to guest and owner arrivals. Guided by our Noble Purpose—to care about our guests and the impact we make on their lives —the Housekeeping Inspector helps create memorable guest experiences. Essential Job Duties Uphold the company's Noble Purpose by ensuring resort homes and villas consistently exceed cleanliness and quality expectations. Conduct detailed inspections of rental units prior to guest and owner arrivals; perform touch-ups when necessary. Complete departure and vacant unit inspections to confirm readiness and report any issues. Ensure the integrity of each rental unit by identifying, reporting, and helping resolve cleanliness, maintenance, and safety concerns in a timely manner. Verify proper operation of in-unit amenities, including Wi-Fi, televisions, and related equipment. Report all safety issues and ensure units are secured properly. Perform light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, tightening hinges, and other minor repairs. Assist guests with basic needs, including Wi-Fi or TV issues and delivery of requested items. Communicate unit status, inspection results, and concerns clearly with management, front desk staff, and team members. Support the check-in and check-out process through accurate communication with the front desk. Meet with outside contractors and vendors as needed. Help maintain annual unit evaluations and inspection documentation. Participate in special projects as assigned by the Director of Property Management, Housekeeping Manager, or General Maintenance Manager. Share guest impact and "WOW" experience stories with leadership and teammates. Perform other duties as assigned. Use of a personal vehicle is required.
General Qualifications:
Experience, Knowledge, and Skills Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail. Self-motivated, dependable, and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities. Ability to learn quickly and retain technical and procedural knowledge. Working knowledge of housekeeping standards and guest service. Familiarity with residential Wi-Fi and TV systems across different service providers. Strong verbal communication skills to effectively interact with guests, coworkers, management, and vendors. Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs throughout the workday.
EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS
Some general maintenance experience preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Generally pleasant environment, continuing interruptions, and some stress in working to meet deadlines. Most work will be done in the field requiring extended periods of walking and/or climbing stairs at times.
