Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will oversee the development and implementation of personalized care plans for individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring they receive the highest quality support in various settings. Your leadership will foster a nurturing environment that promotes independence, dignity, and well-being for residents. Duties Develop, review, and update individualized care plans tailored to each resident's unique needs, including those requiring Alzheimer's and dementia care. Supervise and coordinate daily operations within group homes, assisted living facilities, or community-based settings to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices. Oversee medication administration processes, ensuring safety protocols are followed accurately and efficiently. Lead and mentor staff members, providing training on specialized care techniques such as memory care, senior care, and home & community care services. Collaborate with families, healthcare providers, social workers, and management to support residents' holistic well-being and transition planning. Manage budgets and resources effectively to optimize service delivery while maintaining financial accountability. Monitor resident progress through regular assessments and adjust care strategies accordingly to promote independence and quality of life. Skills Extensive experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, including those requiring Alzheimer's or dementia care. Strong background in nursing home or long-term care environments with demonstrated leadership in operations management. Proven ability to supervise staff effectively while fostering a positive team environment. Knowledge of assisted living, group home operations, retirement homes, and home & community care settings. Excellent communication skills for engaging with residents' families, healthcare teams, and community partners. Proficiency in creating and managing detailed care plans aligned with regulatory standards. Financial acumen related to budgeting, resource allocation, and operational efficiency. Familiarity with medication administration protocols and safety procedures in senior or residential care settings.
