Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and strategic County Director to lead and oversee all operations for the county. This pivotal role involves managing programs, fostering community relationships, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral health needs. The County Director will serve as a key leader, driving program development, supervising staff, managing budgets, and cultivating partnerships that enhance service delivery and community engagement. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by empowering individuals and strengthening community resources through energetic leadership and innovative program management. Qualifications College degree preferred Demonstrated ability to develop systems designed to improve services Computer literate Visionary - plan for future needs as it relates Agency-wide Demonstrated leadership/management skills through fair and consistent treatment of people Demonstrated excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and listening skills) Team player, creative, and professional Excellent time manager Demonstrated level of comfort with conflict resolution, problem solving, decision making Demonstrated value in person-centered planning Demonstrated value in abilities and outcomes for service recipients Demonstrated value or commitment to participatory management Commitment to team development and process to create self-direction, team process and accountability Primary Job Responsibility Responsible for all the day to day county functions in supporting the agency mission, vision, strategic direction, policy, procedures and guidelines of the Agency. Other Job Responsibilities Supervise Residential/Training Supervisors and Assistant County Directors as applicable Manage and coordinate the Human Rights Committee for the county Manage and coordinate Parent Meetings Plan for future needs as it relates to Agency goals or mission Manage, support and provide guidance for county functions related to staff, facilities and resources ensuring supports and services are delivered with the highest quality standard in the most effective manner Share solutions to problems Agency-wide Ensure compliance with Agency supervision plan Review changes to staffing plans for day and residential services Meet monthly with the county administrative team and submit minutes to Administration Oversee the Agency Supervision Plan and ensure its compliance Provide oversight and implementation of medical, therapeutic, and behavioral programs in conjunction with approved plans Emphasize agency protocols for hiring of staff and including involving service recipients, family, and staff in selection Support and reinforce team process to achieve stable, accountable, work force Develop systems which are used to analyze and address needs improve the quality of services in the areas of: safety, individual outcomes, staffing and team development, dignity and respect for service recipients evaluate in measurable terms the effectiveness of the systems developed hold Support Managers accountable for leading staff to follow ISP Outcomes and Action Steps Supervise the Administrative Assistant (as applicable)
Ensure:
on-call system for the county system for assigning open shifts to all management staff maintenance of the General Information, Daily Supports, and Personal Record timely submission of monthly reports distribution of all written communication and ensure receipt to all locations a system in place to distribute supplies to all locations food stamp certifications are completed in a timely manner Social Security process maintained for individuals who receive residential services Work with Residential/Training Supervisors and Assistant County Directors to resolve conflicts timely between or among staff Mentor Residential/Training Supervisors and Assistant County Directors and encourage the team concept in all aspects of management implementation Ensure consistency in the application of Pacesetters' policies and procedures Assist in on-call rotation for county and assist with coverage as needed Other duties as assigned
