Job Description

Position Summary The Leasing & Property Support Clerk provides frontline administrative and leasing support for Project Vida's housing portfolio. This position is responsible for tenant communication, leasing coordination, rent collection support, and assisting with day-to-day property operations. The role ensures accurate tenant records, timely response to inquiries, and coordination between residents, maintenance, and property leadership to support stable and efficient housing operations. Main Job Responsibilities Leasing & Tenant Services Respond to inquiries regarding available units and program eligibility. Schedule and conduct unit showings as needed. Assist with leasing documentation, applications, and tenant onboarding. Maintain clear and professional communication with tenants and applicants. Rent & Tenant Account Support Assist with rent collection processes, deposits, and receipt tracking. Maintain tenant account records and support updates in property systems. Communicate with tenants regarding balances, notices, and general account questions. Administrative & Recordkeeping Maintain accurate tenant files and documentation. Support data entry and record updates in property management systems (e.g., AppFolio). Assist in tracking occupancy, vacancies, and tenant turnover. Maintenance Coordination Support Receive and log maintenance requests. Coordinate communication between tenants and maintenance staff. Track status of work orders and follow up as needed. Compliance & Support Assist with maintaining documentation for compliance requirements (HUD, TDHCA, etc.). Support preparation for audits, inspections, and reporting. General Support Assist the Property & Housing Operations Coordinator with daily operations. Maintain organized files and documentation systems. Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Experience in leasing, property management, or administrative support preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to interact professionally with tenants and team members. Basic understanding of rent collection and tenant relations. Experience with property management systems (e.g., AppFolio) preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks. Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment. Working Conditions Standard office hours with occasional need for flexibility. Ability to walk properties, enter units, and interact with tenants as needed. Qualifications Ability to work efficiently with diverse populations, including individuals with disabilities, behavioral health conditions. Experience in property, facilities, housing, or maintenance operations. Experience in organizational and financial record-keeping skills. Experience with property management systems (e.g., AppFolio) preferred. Experience with Abila or similar accounting software. Ability to manage multiple properties and administrative processes simultaneously. Detail-oriented with strong documentation accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Bilingual verbal and written communication in English and Spanish preferred. Ability to work collaboratively with property, finance, and maintenance teams. Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and insurance required. Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. as needed. Other Requirements Maintain strict confidentiality of client information and agency operations. Adhere to all Project Vida policies, including drug-free workplace and safety guidelines. Ability to work flexible hours when the program requires after-hour crisis support.
Pay:
$18.00 per hour
