Monday - Friday 8am-5pm
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Commercial Assistant Property Manager to oversee a portfolio of office buildings . This role is responsible for the full spectrum of day-to-day property operations, including tenant relations, financial performance, vendor management, maintenance oversight, and lease administration.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the daily operations of assigned commercial properties. Foster strong relationships with tenants, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and prompt resolution of issues. Oversee maintenance and building operations, ensuring properties are clean, safe, and compliant with building codes and standards. Collaborate with vendors and contractors for ongoing maintenance, capital projects, and repairs. Prepare, manage, and reconcile property operating budgets, capital expense budgets, and monthly financial reports. Review and approve invoices, monitor expenses, and manage rent collections and tenant chargebacks. Coordinate lease administration duties including new lease setups, rent escalations, CAM reconciliations, and tracking critical dates. Manage tenant move-ins and move-outs, space planning, and construction coordination when applicable. Ensure compliance with lease obligations, municipal regulations, and safety/environmental requirements. Support ownership and asset management teams with reporting, strategic planning, and capital improvements.
Qualifications:
1+ years of commercial property management experience , with a focus on office assets . Strong working knowledge of lease agreements, operating expense reconciliations, and property budgeting. Proficiency in property management software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, Building Engines, Angus) and Microsoft Office Suite. Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Ability to manage multiple properties and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience in tenant improvement oversight and capital project coordination. #
