Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Apartment Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of Fair Housing regulations, and the ability to maintain positive relationships with residents and staff. This role requires a proactive approach to property management, ensuring that all aspects of the apartment community are running smoothly and efficiently. Duties Manage all aspects of property operations, including leasing, maintenance, and tenant relations. Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and other relevant laws. Handle legal administrative tasks related to contracts and tenant agreements. Negotiate lease terms and renewals with prospective and current tenants. Maintain accurate records through data entry and filing systems using OneSite software. Oversee property maintenance activities, ensuring timely repairs and upkeep of the premises. Address tenant inquiries and concerns promptly, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette. Conduct regular inspections of the property to ensure standards are met. Collaborate with maintenance staff to coordinate repairs and improvements. Experience Proven experience in property management or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations and legal aspects of property management is essential. Proficient in using property management software such as OneSite for data entry and record keeping. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to resolve conflicts effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on professional phone etiquette. Experience in property maintenance or familiarity with maintenance processes is a plus. Manages the compliance aspects of affordable housing programs, including Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC).
