Job Description

Job Overview Property Management/ Real Estate Full Charge Bookkeeper. We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, Full Charge Bookkeeper with extensive real estate and property management experience to join our team. This vital role combines comprehensive real estate/property management bookkeeping ensuring the smooth financial and administrative operation of our organization. The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly organized, and possess a strong background in real estate/property management accounting various accounting software and financial concepts. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, monthly tenant billings, cam reconciliations, reconciling accounts, and supporting overall office functions to foster a productive work environment. Responsibilities Manage full-cycle bookkeeping including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations using software such as QuickBooks, or similar systems. Perform bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger accounting to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections while maintaining detailed records. CAM Billing/Reconciliations Prepare financial reports, statements, and summaries to support organizational decision-making. Handle payroll processing, tax filings, and ensure adherence to governmental accounting standards. Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions through double-entry bookkeeping techniques and account analysis. Support budgeting activities by monitoring expenses and assisting with financial planning efforts. Assist with audit preparations by organizing documentation related to financial activities and compliance requirements. Oversee administrative office functions including supply management, correspondence handling, and supporting staff with various clerical tasks. Requirements Proven experience as a full charge bookkeeper or office manager with strong knowledge of accounting principles including GAAP. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks experience with governmental accounting is a plus. Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation (bank and general ledger), and financial report writing. Familiarity with payroll processing, tax regulations, accounts payable/receivable management, and budget monitoring. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail with high accuracy in data entry (10 key typing skills) and record keeping. Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to non-financial staff members. Knowledge of public accounting practices or non-profit accounting is desirable but not required.
