Full Job Description General Purpose:
Plan, direct and co-ordinate the operations of a Residential Home, division or department. Plan and maintain systems and procedures for operating efficiency. Manage Counselors for optimum performance. To maximize the quality of life with the Residents in the home.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Determine Counselor requirements/ schedules
  • Supervise direct reporting Counselor according to overall company policy
  • Apply strategic planning to determine goals for Counselors
  • Develop Counselor to maximize potential
  • Monitor Counselor performance including Performance Reviews
  • Delegate work duties to Counselor to attain objectives
  • Allocate use of budget in the program
  • Monitor and assist Counselor with work progress
  • Plan and implement procedures and systems to maximize operating efficiency
  • Formulate company Policies and Procedures
  • Correspond with Guardians, Authorized Representatives, Case Managers, and all
State, Government and Local Agencies Education and Experience:
  • 5ys experience in the MH/ID field or Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Knowledge of business and management principles and practices
  • Knowledge of strategic planning
  • Knowledge of Human Resource management principles and procedures
  • Knowledge of basic economic and accounting principles and practices
  • Knowledge of office administrative procedures
  • Proficient in relevant software applications

Adaptability Physical Demands:
  • Should be in good physical condition and requires some lifting, and physical intervention for hazardous behavior. Requires light and/or heaving lifting, repetitive bending, sight, hearing, and ability to move with ease.
  • Will require being on call with company phone and responding to emergencies to the programs .
