Job Description

Job Description We are hiring Armed Security Officers to provide security services at a municipal residential properties in Norfolk, VA. This position focuses on maintaining a safe and respectful environment for residents, staff, and visitors through routine patrols, monitoring activity, and responding to incidents as needed. This is a structured and consistent post with clear expectations, making it ideal for officers looking for steady hours and a reliable work environment. Officers are expected to maintain a professional presence, communicate effectively, and handle situations calmly. You will have ongoing support from management and clear post orders to help you succeed in the role. Schedule:
Thursday through Saturday 6pm-6am Saturday-Sunday 6am-6pm •Please indicate your preferred shift when applying•.
Duties:
Conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols Monitor property access points and observe for unusual activity Provide a visible and professional security presence Respond to incidents and calls for service as needed Complete detailed daily activity and incident reports Requirements- READ
CAREFULLY
High school diploma or equivalent. Relevant certifications in security or law enforcement preferred. Must have a Virginia DCJS Armed License. Pre-employment drug screening required. 2 years of security, military or law enforcement experience preferred. Ability to generate comprehensive field reports for client and internal review. Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred but not mandatory; training may be provided. This is a selective placement . Only candidates who meet the qualifications and demonstrate reliability will be contacted for next steps.
