The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. This role involves assisting in property leasing, maintenance coordination, and administrative tasks with a strong emphasis on reducing delinquency to ensure the smooth running of the property. Duties Assist in managing property leasing processes, including marketing available units and conducting property tours. Reduce the property's overall delinquency to less than 3% and enforce timely rent collections. Maintain accurate records of tenant interactions, lease agreements, and property maintenance requests using Yardi or similar property management software. Complete all residential lease renewals and work through the entire process. Coordinate with maintenance staff to address tenant concerns and ensure timely resolution of maintenance issues. Provide excellent phone etiquette while handling inquiries from prospective tenants and current residents. Support the implementation of legal administrative tasks related to tenant relations and compliance with housing regulations. Engage in upselling strategies to promote additional services or upgrades to tenants. Assist with affordable housing applications, renewals, and compliance requirements as needed. Collaborate with the property management team to ensure high levels of tenant satisfaction. Requirements Previous experience as assistant property manager in property management, which a strong emphasis on delinquency and leasing is required. Knowledge of property leasing processes and legal requirements related to tenancy. Familiarity with Appfolio or similar property management software is a plus. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating professionalism in all interactions. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in phone etiquette and customer service best practices. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and conflict resolution.
