Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as an Assistant Property Manager specializing in multifamily residential communities! This energetic role offers an exciting opportunity to support property operations, enhance resident satisfaction, and ensure smooth day-to-day management. You will play a vital part in maintaining property standards, fostering positive tenant relationships, and assisting with leasing and administrative functions. Duties Assist in managing daily property operations, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) guidelines, and Section 8 programs. Support leasing activities by conducting property tours, processing applications, and upselling available units to prospective residents. Handle tenant inquiries, resolve conflicts professionally, and maintain excellent customer relationships through effective communication and problem-solving. Maintain accurate data entry within property management software such as Yardi and OneSite; manage leasing files, contracts, and legal documentation with precision. Coordinate property maintenance requests, oversee facilities management tasks using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), and ensure timely resolution of issues. Assist with legal administrative responsibilities including lease agreements, contract review, and adherence to Landlord-tenant law. Support administrative functions such as filing, phone etiquette, record keeping, and data management to streamline office operations. Skills Strong knowledge of property management systems including Yardi, OneSite, and CMMS platforms. Familiarity with LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing policies, Fair Housing regulations, and landlord-tenant law. Proven experience in property leasing, sales techniques, upselling strategies, and customer service excellence. Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to negotiate effectively and handle sensitive situations professionally. Office experience with data entry, filing systems, contracts management, and legal administrative tasks. Exceptional communication skills including phone etiquette and customer relationship management. Ability to coordinate property maintenance activities while adhering to safety standards; facilities management knowledge is a plus.
