Community Corrections Program Manager (WMS02) Community Corrections Division Section 6 and Section 7 [

INTERNALLY
fill two full-time, permanent WMS02 Community Corrections Program Manager (CCPM) vacancies within the Community Corrections Division (CCD). One position will be stationed in Section 6 and one position will be stationed in Section 7. Although these positions allow near full-time telework, the official duty station will be located within the assigned section. These positions require travel throughout the assigned section and may require some travel to Headquarters and other parts of the state. The Community Corrections Program Manager (CCPM) will report directly to the Community Corrections Administrator and is responsible for implementing division initiatives, developing statewide policy, and establishing a statewide quality assurance program to support division objectives and the agency's Strategic Plan. The position measures and assesses activity and performance in their assigned section and provides subject matter support to section leadership and staff, and conducts fair and impartial reviews of critical incidents that take place in the Community Corrections Division or as assigned. You must have extensive knowledge in all aspects of community supervision, including agency operations and policy, related statutes and WACs, identification of risk/need factors and mitigation strategies for individuals on supervision, and the overall management of a field unit and its staff. Ensure consistent, successful statewide implementation of new agency/legislative initiatives and policy, program, or system changes as directed to support the agency's Strategic Plan and the division business plan. Develop and implement quality assurance programs/practices for Community Corrections. Conduct formal reviews of critical incidents as assigned by the Assistant Secretary for Community Corrections/designee per Department policy. Make sure you refer to the 2026- recruitment/job # listed above. Required Qualifications Must have at least three years of supervisory experience in Community Corrections or a related field. Must possess and maintain an unrestricted vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Washington. AND must have a combination of education and/or experience equaling nine years and as follows: High school diploma or GED equivalent AND a minimum of nine years of professional level experience in Community Corrections or a related field. Or an associate degree AND a minimum of seven years of professional level experience in Community Corrections or a related field. Or a bachelor's degree or higher AND a minimum of five years of professional level experience in Community Corrections or a related field. Any other combination of higher education and/or experience equaling nine years must include at least five years of professional level experience in Community Corrections or a related field.
Note:
Higher education degrees must be from an accredited college or university whose accreditation is recognized by the US Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), or foreign equivalent. The successful candidate will be required to possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: Understanding and working knowledge of managing and supervising individual under Department jurisdiction, including evidence-based correctional practices, behavior management, security and safety, and programming, including preparation of individuals for successful supervision in the community. Ability to lead/facilitate and oversee workgroups comprised of professional staff related to policy development and revision, conduct data analysis, modifying supervision models, draft and implement agency-requested legislation, and develop implementation plans and a quality assurance framework. Demonstrated ability to provide positive leadership in times of stress, conflict, and unforeseen events. Remain calm and rational while handling difficult situations to include, but not limited to, volatile, threatening, or other crisis/emergency situations. Expertly intervene in response to threats. Knowledge of the overall management of a field unit, and of the Washington State Criminal Justice system, Department of Corrections operations and policies, RCWs, and WACs. Ability to make independent, innovative decisions and provide highly effective solutions that may significantly impact agency operations. Experience working with other governmental and/or social service entities in the development or implementation of a program, project, or other joint venture. Strong influence, change management, and relationship building skills. Experience providing professional level presentations and reports. Desired Qualifications Knowledge applying the Sentencing Reform Act, particularly as it pertains to community placement, the Offender Accountability Act, and sentencing alternatives. Knowledge of the Agency's Strategic Plan. Project Management Institute (PMI) certification in Project Management. ProSci Change Management certification or similar.

This position is represented by Teamsters Local Union 117. Telework Details This position may be allocated for telework up to four days each week. Employees must use a reliable internet or cellular hotspot service at an authorized location within the state of Washington. Employees with an approved telework agreement in place are expected to perform assigned duties in a safe manner, take proper care of all state-issued equipment, and maintain confidentiality. You will be required to commute to a DOC facility or field office as business requires, which may include components of the onboarding and training process. Details will be provided before hire.
