The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing property leasing activities, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations, and providing exceptional customer service to prospective tenants. This position requires strong negotiation skills, knowledge of landlord-tenant law, and experience with property management systems such as Yardi or OneSite. Responsibilities Conduct property showings and tours for prospective tenants, highlighting features and benefits of available units. Manage the leasing process from application to lease signing, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately. Maintain knowledge of local rental markets and trends to effectively market properties. Assist in the development and implementation of marketing strategies to attract potential tenants. Handle tenant inquiries and provide excellent customer service throughout the leasing process. Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and landlord-tenant laws. Maintain accurate records of leases, contracts, and tenant communications through data entry and filing systems. Collaborate with property maintenance teams to address tenant concerns and ensure properties are well-maintained. Utilize conflict management skills to resolve tenant disputes or issues effectively. Participate in upselling additional services or amenities to enhance tenant satisfaction. Experience The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications: Experience in property management or real estate administrative roles is preferred. Familiarity with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) programs and Section 8 housing assistance is a plus. Proficiency in property management software such as Yardi or OneSite. Strong understanding of Fair Housing regulations and landlord-tenant law. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building positive relationships with tenants. Proven sales experience with the ability to upsell services effectively. Strong negotiation skills for lease agreements and contracts. Administrative experience including data entry, filing, and office management tasks. Knowledge of facilities management principles is beneficial. Strong phone etiquette and communication skills are essential for effective interaction with clients and vendors.
