We're currently seeking an experienced Community Manager to lead operations at a 200+ unit senior and affordable (tax credit) apartment community in Shoreline, WA, just north of Seattle. This role is ideal for a seasoned, resident-first operator who can drive occupancy in a competitive submarket while creating a warm, service-forward environment for senior residents. The community is in good shape with light updates underway, and there's a solid on-site team in place, including strong affordable compliance support, so you can focus on leadership, leasing performance, and day-to-day execution. Responsibilities Lead day-to-day operations for a 200+ unit senior affordable community, ensuring strong resident experience and consistent execution Drive occupancy through hands-on leasing leadership, marketing execution, and competitive positioning against newer nearby product Manage property performance including budgeting, reporting, collections oversight, and NOI-focused decision making Coach, develop, and hold accountable an on-site team across leasing, maintenance, and resident-facing operations Maintain a calm, professional presence with senior residents, setting boundaries compassionately while resolving issues and de-escalating conflict Qualifications 3+ years of Community Manager experience in multifamily, with proven tenure leading teams and property operations Experience with affordable housing compliance (LIHTC/tax credit or HUD) strongly preferred, or the ability to ramp quickly with support Demonstrated ability to improve occupancy through leasing strategy, marketing, and customer-service differentiation Strong resident-relations skill set, especially with seniors: empathy, patience, conflict resolution, and emotional resilience Proficiency with property management systems (Yardi preferred; RealPage or OneSite a plus) and solid Excel skills Perks Total compensation range: $95,000 to $120,000+ (base plus bonus potential), with top base up to $105,000 and multiple performance bonus programs available Full benefits package including all major insurance, 401k, and PTO Work for a nationwide company that can offer growth and stability Opportunity to take ownership of a community that needs a strong leader to drive leasing momentum Relocation considered on a reasonable timeline (relocation assistance may be available pending approval)
