Summary:
The Residential Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, sales performance, and overall success of the Residential Department in Green Bay, WI. This role leads inside sales and operational teams, drives revenue growth, ensures exceptional customer service, and implements strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability. The Manager plays a key role in aligning departmental performance with organizational goals while fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities will include the following:
Leadership & Team Development:
Supervise, mentor, and motivate department staff and inside sales teams to achieve individual and team goals. Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement employee development plans. Deliver training and coaching to improve product knowledge, sales techniques, and overall performance. Manage staffing, scheduling, and workforce planning to ensure adequate coverage. Support recruitment efforts and promote employee engagement and retention.
Sales & Revenue Management:
Establish, monitor, and drive achievement of sales targets and KPIs. Analyze sales data and trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement. Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability.
Operations & Workflow Management:
Oversee day-to-day department and sales operations to ensure efficient workflows. Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency and service quality. Manage employee schedules, hours, and daily activities.
Customer Service Excellence:
Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality customer service. Address escalated customer concerns and implement solutions to improve satisfaction. Monitor customer feedback and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Inventory & Merchandising:
Oversee inventory levels and coordinate with relevant teams to ensure product availability. Ensure effective product merchandising, visual presentation, and promotional displays.
Financial Management & Reporting:
Manage departmental budgets and assist with forecasting. Analyze financial and sales reports to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve profitability. Prepare and present performance reports to leadership.
Compliance & Safety:
Required to wear and use personal protective equipment per Tri City Glass & Door and contractor policies. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations. Maintain safety standards and proper operational practices. Oversee cash handling procedures and POS system accuracy.
Strategic Planning & Continuous Improvement :
Set and evaluate short- and long-term departmental goals. Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activity. Lead and support change initiatives to improve processes and align with company strategy. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, logistics) to support business objectives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, management, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience. 2-5+ years of leadership experience in operations, sales, or a related field. Proven ability to lead teams and achieve operational and sales goals. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Valid Driver's License required.
Work Environment:
The Residential Supervisor typically works in an office environment but may be required to visits customers or work sites that are outdoors.
