Property Manager (Affordable Housing / LIHTC)

$26-$36/hour + benefits About the Opportunity We're partnering with a growing property management company in Madison to hire a Property Manager for a newer affordable housing community. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of a property, building strong resident relationships, and helping create a positive community environment. The ideal candidate has experience in affordable housing and LIHTC compliance, is highly organized, and can confidently manage daily operations while providing excellent resident service. Responsibilities Property Operations & Compliance Oversee the daily operations of a Section 42 / LIHTC community Ensure compliance with LIHTC regulations, Fair Housing laws, and company policies Manage income certifications, recertifications, and compliance documentation Maintain organized, audit-ready files Assist with inspections, audits, and agency reporting Leasing & Resident Relations Manage leasing activity including tours, applications, move-ins, and renewals Serve as the primary point of contact for residents and resolve concerns professionally Help maintain strong occupancy and resident retention Foster a positive, community-focused living environment Financial & Administrative Duties Oversee rent collection and delinquency follow-up Assist with budgeting, reporting, and tracking property performance Prepare reports for ownership and compliance partners Team Coordination Work closely with maintenance staff and outside vendors Help ensure work orders and property needs are handled efficiently Support a positive and accountable team environment Qualifications 2+ years of property management experience
Required:
