Job Description

Assistant City Engineer Salary:
$130,000 - $170,000 Company DescriptionWe are a community‑focused civil engineering firm delivering high‑quality public infrastructure solutions for local agencies. About the RoleThe City Engineer will lead public works and infrastructure projects, providing technical direction and oversight across planning, design, and execution. You will work closely with agency staff, consultants, and community stakeholders to deliver projects that align with long‑term city goals. ResponsibilitiesManage a portfolio of municipal engineering projects, including roadway, utility, and public facility improvements.

Serve as the city's technical liaison to consultants, contractors, and other agencies throughout project development and delivery.

Coordinate project efforts internally and externally to meet community needs, regulatory requirements, and funding guidelines.

Support and review Capital Improvement Programs (CIPs), including budgeting, prioritization, and implementation tracking.

Lead or support council presentations, public meetings, and community engagement initiatives.

Oversee schedules, workloads, and resource planning to ensure timely and high‑quality delivery. QualificationsExperience in municipal engineering, civil infrastructure, or public works project management.

Ability to provide technical leadership and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Strong communication skills when engaging with city departments, consultants, and the public.

Proven ability to manage project schedules, deliverables, and resource allocation.
