Fresno, CA Compensation:
$49/hour during the probationary period through the staffing agency•, transitioning to a $90,000 annual salary upon conversion to full-time employee status, plus benefits.
Purpose :
A mission-driven organization is seeking a Site Director to lead multiple workforce development programs serving the Fresno region, with a focus on the Central Valley. This role is ideal for a results-oriented leader who can balance strategic oversight with hands-on engagement with staff and participants. The Site Director will drive program performance, manage staff, and lead program growth by developing strong partnerships with funders, community organizations, and government agencies, while securing new funding opportunities and supporting the launch of new programs. The ideal candidate is goal-driven and thrives in a fast-paced, performance-based environment, leading by example to ensure program goals are consistently met or exceeded. This role requires strong operational leadership, workforce development expertise, and a proven ability to build funder relationships and contribute to funding growth, including identifying and advancing grant opportunities. Duties and Responsibilities Lead workforce development programs and government-funded contracts with the goal of providing high-quality employment and job placement services while meeting and/or exceeding contract goals Oversee daily operations, program implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives Hire, manage, and develop staff, ensuring alignment with performance targets and program outcomes Monitor contractual commitments, addressing areas of non-compliance and developing action plans to meet contract goals such as job placement and retention metrics Interact daily with individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds and with unique needs. Yours and the program?s role is to ensure that the individuals we serve are confident, able to meet their needs and become self-sufficient through employment You must be the leader and face of community engagement locally for the company. This includes meeting regularly with stakeholders and community partners, and developing new partnerships with government agencies and community-based organizations You must seek out new business opportunities by networking with community partners, business leaders, government agencies and elected officials Oversee and manage program budget in coordination with the Finance Department Liaise with funding agencies, maintaining regular contact and communication Report directly to the CEO Desired Requirements Bachelor?s degree required; advanced degree preferred Supervisory and/or management experience, at least 3-5 years Understanding of county government and local systems Previous experience with case management, job development and adult education Experience in creating and delivering impact service plans for participants a plus Excellent communication skills, professional demeanor, sound judgement and strong organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) Familiarity with Salesforce, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint preferred Experience and passion for serving individuals from disadvantaged and underserved populations, including but not limited to public assistance recipients, justice-involved individuals, persons with physical and/or mental disabilities, and individuals experiencing homelessness Benefits Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Generous Paid Time Off Package 401k with Employer Matching After 1 Year Wonderful team, great work-life balance, and an opportunity to work towards an important mission of helping individuals achieve self-sufficiency While assigned through the staffing agency, this role includes a limited benefits package prior to conversion to full-time employment.
