Application Assignment:
Social Media Campaign Analysis As part of the selection process, please submit a brief analysis (2-3 pages maximum) that demonstrates your understanding of effective digital communications and social media engagement.
Please complete the following:
1. Identify Three Social Media Campaigns
  • Select three social media campaigns from major organizations, brands, public agencies, or educational institutions that you believe effectively balance professionalism, audience engagement, and brand consistency.
  • Include screenshots or links to representative posts or campaign materials.

Campaign Evaluation For each campaign:
  • Describe what you believe the organization did well.
  • Explain why the campaign was engaging and effective.
  • Identify one or two elements you would improve and explain your reasoning. 3. Application to Public Education
  • Based on your analysis, describe the key elements of an engaging, professional, and trustworthy social media campaign for a public school district such as Capistrano Unified School District.
  • Include examples of content, messaging strategies, audience engagement techniques, and metrics you would use to evaluate success.
EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Mass Communication, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field. Advanced degree in related areas may be substituted for one year of work experience.
  • Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) credential preferred
  • Certificate in Marketing from an established institution
EXPERIENCE
A minimum of 5 years of of experience in public relations, news reporting, and public affairs in a large public or private sector organization. Experience with public education agencies is desirable.
LICENSE:
Possess a valid California Driver License.

Submissions will be evaluated on communication skills, strategic thinking, understanding of digital engagement, creativity, and alignment with the mission and values of a public educational institution.
