This is not a clinical or case management role. This position leads a facility-based day program and requires strong operational leadership, direct staff supervision, and experience within the I/DD service system.
This program requires a leader who can step in, create structure, hold staff accountable, and build a consistent, engaged team culture. This is a highly hands-on role where the Program Director is present on the floor, leading by example and supporting staff in real time.

Care and supervision of individuals similar to those served in this day programExperience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a structured or facility-based settingExperience working with Regional Centers, Community Care Licensing, and knowledge of Title 17 and Title 22 regulationsExperience developing and implementing individual program plans (IPP), behavior plans, or structured skill-building programsExperience with staff supervision, coaching, and performance managementExperience in a facility-based program environment with multiple staff and individuals servedValid driver's license with acceptable driving recordMust be able to lift and transfer up to 50 poundsPhysician's clearance and TB test clearance

Role:
Dungarvin is seeking a hands-on Program Director to oversee the daily operations of our Signal Hill licensed Adult Day Program serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This is a leadership role responsible for program operations, staff supervision, regulatory compliance, and overall program quality.This is not a clinical or case management role. Lead daily operations of a licensed adult day program, including staffing, scheduling, payroll, and budget oversightSupervise, coach, and develop a team of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in a hands-on, floor-based environmentImplement and oversee person-centered service plans (IPP goals) and behavior support strategiesEnsure regulatory compliance with Title 17, Title 22, and Community Care Licensing requirements for a licensed day programMaintain accurate program documentation, oversee audits, and lead quality assurance effortsPartner with Regional Center, Community Care Licensing, families, residential providers, and interdisciplinary teamsDevelop and oversee engaging, workshop-style day program activities that promote independence, community integration, and life skillsProvide hands-on leadership during behavioral situations and model best practices for staffOversee facility operations, safety procedures, and program environmentManage staffing ratios, attendance, and daily program flow to ensure quality services and complianceBuild a culture of accountability, engagement, and performanceCreate structure where it is needed and strengthen team confidenceEnsure high-quality, person-centered, and compliant day servicesCreate a positive, engaging program culture for both staff and individuals servedQualificationsRequired Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a human services field (e.g., Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Allied Health, Educational Psychology, Sociology, Human Services) is preferredMinimum of 3 years of experience in a human services delivery system1 year in a supervisory, management, or director role in a human services delivery systemAt least 2 years of experience or training in one of the following:Care and supervision of individuals in a adult day program or residential facility/home.
