TULARE COUNTY BOARD REPRESENTATIVE I/II/III THIS IS AN AT-WILL POSITION APPOINTED BY AND SERVES AT THE PLEASURE OF THE TULARE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
Tulare County is seeking qualified candidates for the rewarding position of Board Representative
I/II/III.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing executive-level support to County-sponsored commissions, committees, and the process of grant funding distributed by the Board of Supervisors. This position also contributes to public relations efforts and performs a broad range of administrative functions in support of the Board of Supervisors. SALARY INFORMATION BY LEVEL
Level I:
$5,176•6,308 Monthly and $62,113•$75,699
Annually Level II:
$5,719•6,971 Monthly and $68,634•$83,646
Annually Level III:
$6,309•7,689 Monthly and $75,706•$92,265 Annually
BOARD REPRESENTATIVE WORK SCHEDULE
Monday-Thursday:
7:30 am•5:30 pm;
Friday:

Minimum qualifications are used as a guide for establishing the education, training, experience, special skills and/or license which are required and equivalent to the following and possessing the knowledge, skills and abilities you will find listed on the job specifications.
Level I Education:
Equivalent to graduation from college with a bachelor's degree in public or business administration, journalism, communications, political science, or a closely related field.
Experience:
Two (2) years of increasingly responsible administrative/board public relations staff support in a public or private agency.
Level II:
Education:
Equivalent to the requirement for Level I.
Experience:
Two (2) years of increasingly responsible administrative/board public relations staff support in a public or private agency AND one (1) additional year of working for a public agency, commission, elected official, or policy board.
Level III:
Education:
Equivalent to the requirement for the Level I & II.
Experience:
Two (2) years of increasingly responsible administrative/board public relations staff support in a public or private agency AND two (2) additional years of working for a public agency.
License or Certification:
Possession of, or the ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid California driver's license.
Conditions of Employment:
Candidates selected may be required to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. Additionally, a background investigation may also be conducted, which may include a re-investigation every 10 years for some positions. An Employment Eligibility Verification using E-Verify may be required on the first day of employment for some positions. Some job classes may also require a physical exam.
