Job Description

Position Summary The Director of Decision Support oversees the system's capital and operating budget process; directs all revenue reporting activities including monthly AR valuations; manages decision support systems which provide department and organizational leadership with financial reports and analysis; and assumes leadership for all governmental reimbursement tasks. Education Bachelors of Finance
  • Required Masters of Business Administration or Health Administration
  • Preferred Experience 5-7 Years hospital business management
  • Required any clinical experience helpful as well License & Certification None Required Core Job Functions Leads and drives the annual operating and capital budgeting process based on key operating metrics and drivers.
Provides leadership for system-wide productivity monitoring and analysis. Oversees decision support and cost accounting systems which are utilized to assist business leadership in analyzing operating performance of existing service lines and other operating improvement initiatives. Ensures AR is valuated appropriately at month end by overseeing AR valuation and contract modeling systems within the decision support systems. Utilizes contract modeling to assist in managed care contract negotiations and valuations. Ensures contractual allowances and other revenue deductions are accurately reflected in the financial statements. Oversees preparation, filing and tracking of all governmental cost reports and reimbursement surveys, including Medicare, Medicaid and Champus cost reports, indigent care trust fund, wage index, disproportional share and bad debt logs and Department of Community Health regulatory surveys. Ensures all audit requests are fulfilled and all governmental regulations are followed. Provide instruction/ teaching when needed.
