Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HUD Service Coordinator to oversee property operations and ensure compliance with housing regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in property management, landlord-tenant law, and social services, with a focus on providing supportive housing solutions. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a community-focused organization committed to affordable and supportive housing initiatives. The HUD Service Coordinator will be responsible for managing housing programs, supporting residents, and ensuring regulatory compliance, particularly with LIHTC, Section 8, and Fair Housing regulations. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day operations of proper resident relations. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local housing regulations such as Fair Housing laws and landlord-tenant law. Conduct negotiations with residents, landlords, and service providers to facilitate housing placements and lease agreements. Provide crisis intervention and crisis management support to residents facing emergencies or behavioral challenges. Implement addiction counseling strategies and social work principles to support residents' well-being. Utilize property management software such as Yardi and OneSite for leasing, rent collection, reporting, and record keeping. Conduct outreach and engagement activities to promote housing stability among vulnerable populations. Coordinate with service providers to deliver supportive services including motivational interviewing and addiction counseling. Maintain accurate documentation of resident interactions, lease agreements, compliance reports, and case notes. Qualifications Proven experience in property management or housing administration; familiarity with LIHTC, Section 8 programs preferred. Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law and Fair Housing regulations. Experience in crisis intervention and crisis management strategies within a social services context. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to resolve conflicts effectively. Background in social work or related fields; experience with addiction counseling is a plus. Proficiency in property management software such as Yardi and OneSite. Knowledge of motivational interviewing techniques and addiction support strategies. Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and reporting. Pay:
$45,000.00 - $48,500.00 per year
