Election Specialists manage and assume responsibilities for various duties relating to voter registration. Election Specialists also train and supervise temporary election specialists, election judges, and deputy registrars.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Associate degree in Political Science, Government, Public Administration or a related field, and a minimum of two years office experience and/or combination of education and experience. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Must have general knowledge of election administration and voting processes. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills to interact with, the public, candidates, elected officials, county elections personnel, State Board of Elections personnel, Election Judges, and Registrars in an ever-changing political environment. Must possess a strong aptitude of computers and system operations. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows based software including Microsoft Word and Excel required. Must have valid Illinois driver's license. Must be a US Citizen. Sponsorship not available.
