Full Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and management to all direct service programs for victims of domestic violence, including 24/7 Hotline, Emergency Shelter, Transitional Housing, Court Advocacy, Housing Stabilization Services, and Counseling. Responsible for training, coaching and managing the performance of staff members. In partnership with agency leadership, ensure consistent excellence and compassion in all service delivery. Develop and maintain longitudinal evaluation of programs towards ensuring program effectiveness and program improvement and implement improvements as appropriate. Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, grant and funding requirements.
  • Lead, coach, develop, and evaluate staff according to funding requirements and staff development goals. Ensure focus on client advocacy and excellence in service provision and documentation
  • Evaluate programs and services to ensure that clients' needs and funder requirements are being met, including implementing ongoing processes for program evaluation.
  • Identify deficiencies and initiate solutions or new programs as needed
  • Work in partnership with leadership team to implement improvements to agency policies and practices and engage in strategic planning
  • Facilitate regular meetings with all direct service programs and provide direct service and group facilitation as required
  • Collect, maintain data for grants and funders, assist with grant proposals, reporting and financial planning and comply with funding requirements
  • Ability to prioritize and handle emergency or crisis situations
  • Ability to attend community meetings and interpret information presented and shared amongst participants, provide program information at community meetings, provide formal program presentations, and collect and share relevant meeting information with team.
  • Engage in activities to increase public awareness and education related to the issues of domestic violence
  • Be a champion for the agency, clients and staff at all times
  • Maintain compliance with all agency policies and procedures
  • Attend all meetings and complete all forms and reports required by direct supervisor, funders, Executive Director, or the Board
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate program needs including periodic evenings and weekends
  • Carry out other duties as assigned or as necessary to ensure organizational success Education and/or
Work Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required in related field, Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of three years successful supervisory experience. Experience managing, hiring, coaching, evaluating, mentoring and training employees and teams
  • Demonstrated track record of excellent leadership, management, and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with staff, clients, and community partners
  • Computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary service
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines and standard accepted practices
  • Demonstrated understanding of the dynamics of domestic violence and ability to become a certified professional in this area
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards and agency policies
  • Must be able to listen and speak clearly on the telephone
