Job Description

Position Summary:
This is a supervisory position that provides direct services to victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault; and oversees, coordinates, and manages the provision of direct services by other advocates at The Crisis Center, Inc.'s Manhattan Office. This position works with community partners to ensure information about services is readily available to victims, including providing public awareness and presentations. This position is responsible for working with systems and community partners and maintaining those relationships in Riley County so victims and survivors are best served.
Specific Duties:
Oversee the day-to-day direct services at the Manhattan Office. Supervise, train, and coordinate other advocates based at the Manhattan Office. Provide advocacy services for Riley County, including but not limited to: crisis intervention, personal advocacy, support groups, medical advocacy, court advocacy, law enforcement advocacy, supportive counseling, information and referrals, and transportation. Share responsibility of "Senior Support on Consult" after business hours. Develop and maintain relationships and points of contact with referral sources in Riley County. Work with other systems in various communities in Riley County, including the courts, law enforcement, and other social service providers, to increase victim safety and access to resources. Effectively communicate, coordinate, and collaborate in a timely manner with advocates to ensure victims are best served. Create a culture of empowerment and trauma-informed service delivery. Participate in organizational meetings and other functions, as needed. Assist with outreach efforts and community education to ensure information is readily available and accessible to victims. Participate in professional development opportunities pertinent to the position. Assist with other duties as assigned.
