Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice was founded by community volunteers in 1983 as a nonprofit organization, we are honored to be a leading provider of Hospice and Palliative care in South Central and Southeast Kansas. Having served more than 40,000 patients and family members, we are experts in specialized care designed to provide support to you and your loved ones during an advanced illness. Our team of professionals, including a medical director, nurses, hospice aides, social workers, and volunteers, work in coordination with the patient's physician to provide pain and symptom management, as well as social and spiritual support. Summary The Director position promotes and supports the mission of Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice by supporting the stewardship and cultivation efforts of donors and prospective donors in order to deepen their engagement with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice. The primary focus of the position is to elevate the donor relations program by developing and overseeing the implementation of a plan to increase the number of donors touched, ensure gift compliance activity is seamless, and expand methods of communication, improve quality, and deploy industry best practices. Additionally, this position works collaboratively with other teams and departments across the organization. Responsibilities Management of Donor Relations Program Develop and oversee the implementation of a plan to increase the number of donors touched, expand methods of communication, improve quality, and deploy industry best practices. Collaborate with team members to execute a cohesive strategic plan to recognize, celebrate, express gratitude, and demonstrate philanthropic impact to donors at all levels. Operationalize new campaign-specific programs for principal giving donors. Develop broad-based donor recognition programs. Oversee efforts related to gift compliance, which narrative and financial reporting, and associated recognition. Ensure effective stewardship of gift funds, including endowments. Provide oversight for the Donor Reporting program, which includes anniversary and annual reporting initiatives. Utilize technology to capture more in-depth donor engagement data that allows for deeper segmentation, solicitation, and stewardship of key donor groups. Provide oversight for the internal tracking systems integral to the donor relations/stewardship programs.
Quality Assurance & Reporting:
Provide regular updates, reports and analyses to Development leadership on program execution, progress, and performance. Oversee quality control of all data points stemming from the program. Oversee vendors, consultants and committees associated with the execution of program activities. Other duties as assigned Qualifications, Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field required. Master's degree in a related field preferred.
