The Vocational Services Manager integrates service access, comprehensive vocational assessments, and individualized program and curriculum design to create effective, outcome-driven employment services. This position manages program services and team members, including program implementation, quality standards, employee performance and productivity, stakeholder satisfaction, and fiscal responsibility. Ensures programs services meet organizational guidelines, funder requirements, and accreditation standards.
Essential Functions :
Leads intake and service navigation for the department, including providing individualized planning and guidance, and facilitating the intake process to ensure effective access to program services. Leads the creation and enhancement of assessments and assessment reports, including Kansas Vocational Assessments. Manages team members and oversees staffing needs, including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training. Conducts ongoing observation of employee performance, providing effective coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations. Ensures team members are compliant with required trainings and employee documentation. Develops, enhances, and implements curriculum by evaluating existing curriculum, gathering stakeholder feedback, making revisions, and developing new curriculum as needed. Manages the preparation and maintenance of reports, including collecting and trending data, and performing follow-up activities as required. Provides oversight and direction to team members regarding service delivery, including training and support for effective plan implementation. Ensures services meet high-quality standards that align with stakeholder expectations while fostering continuous improvement and satisfaction. Maintains program documentation and ensures compliance with organizational, funder, and accreditation requirements. Ensures utilization of authorized services through monitoring productivity and performing data collection. Assists in monitoring the budgetary activities of the department and in ensuring services stay within budget. Schedules and facilitates team meetings. Attends and participates in departmental meetings and other meetings as scheduled. Provides direct support services as needed.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in rehabilitation counseling, special education, social work, psychology, or related field required. Master's degree preferred. Must have 3-5 years of experience working with individuals with autism or other intellectual and developmental disabilities. Must have 1-3 years of supervisory or program leadership experience. Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word and Excel. Previous experience working in employment services and working with CARF, Vocational Rehabilitation, and Medicaid Waiver program preferred. Previous education, certification, or training in Autism Spectrum Disorders preferred.
