Position/Job Title Executive Director, Healthcare Finance Date May 2026 Department Finance Shift Day Supervisor Chief Financial Officer Job Summary The Executive Director, Healthcare Finance provides strategic and operational financial leadership in support of Ranken Jordan's mission to deliver exceptional, family‑centered care for children with complex medical needs. This role serves as a trusted partner to the Chief Financial Officer, leaders, and operational teams, translating financial data into insights that support informed decision‑making, long‑term sustainability, and mission advancement. This role will directly lead our Director, Finance and Manager, Revenue Cycle. This leader is responsible for overseeing key financial functions while modeling Ranken Jordan's leadership expectations and core values of Compassion, Play, Respect, Collaborative Teamwork, and Excellence, ensuring financial stewardship that supports unequaled outcomes for children and families.

Yes Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic Financial Leadership Partner with the CFO and leadership team to develop and execute financial strategies that support Ranken Jordan's mission, vision, and strategic priorities. Provide financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis to support growth, innovation, and service expansion for children with complex medical needs. Serve as a financial thought partner to clinical and operational leaders, ensuring resources are aligned with patient‑centered outcomes. 2. Revenue Cycle Financial Operations Partner with the CFO to develop and execute key strategic priorities such as payor negotiations, denials management, and data‑driven revenue cycle performance improvements to maximize revenue. Partner with revenue cycle to optimize reimbursement, cash flow, and financial performance metrics. 3. Financial Planning, Analysis & Reporting Lead the development of the annual operating and capital budgets, multi‑year forecasts, cash flow projections, and variance analysis. Oversee timely, accurate financial reporting, dashboards, and performance metrics to support executive decision‑making. Monitor key financial and operational indicators, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities and recommending corrective or strategic action plans. 4. Operational, Regulatory & Compliance Oversight Partner with clinical and operational team on financial operations. Ensure compliance with audits and healthcare regulatory reporting standards and policies. Support preparation and coordination of external audits, cost reports, and required financial filings. 5. Leadership & Team Development Lead, mentor, and develop leaders, fostering accountability, growth, and engagement. Build and sustain a collaborative, high‑performing team culture aligned with Ranken Jordan's leadership expectations. Participate actively on leadership teams and cross‑functional initiatives to advance organizational goals. 6. Process Improvement & Financial Stewardship Drive continuous improvement of financial systems, processes, and reporting to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and transparency. Promote responsible financial stewardship that balances operational effectiveness with compassionate, mission‑driven care.
Patient Population Served:
Ranken Jordan is dedicated to delivering services to patients with complex medical needs, including infants, children, and adolescents.
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required. Master's degree (MBA, MHA) and/or CPA/CMA strongly preferred. Minimum of 8-10+ years progressive finance leadership experience, with healthcare experience required . Demonstrated experience in hospital or health system financial operations, budgeting, and regulatory environments. Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Knowledge of healthcare finance, including hospital operations, reimbursement methodologies, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements, audits, and financial compliance standards. Knowledge of revenue cycle operations and its impact on organizational financial performance. Knowledge of financial planning and analysis techniques to support strategic and operational decision‑making. Familiarity with healthcare financial systems, reporting tools, and performance dashboards. Understanding of the financial considerations required to support pediatric and complex‑care populations in a mission‑driven environment Strategic thinking and financial acumen to align resources with Ranken Jordan's mission and long‑term priorities. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights. Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to present financial information clearly to diverse audiences including executive team and board of directors. Collaborative leadership skills, partnering effectively with clinical, operational, and executive leaders. Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams, fostering engagement, accountability, and professional growth. Strong organizational and prioritization skills, balancing competing demands in a dynamic healthcare environment. Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency, and financial stewardship. Sound judgment and decision‑making skills, informed by data, risk assessment, and organizational impact. Ability to lead with a service mindset, supporting Ranken Jordan's commitment to children and families. Ability to establish and align short, medium, and long‑term financial priorities that support organizational strategy.
