Job Description

Director of Programs and Services The Director of Programs and Services is a 30-hour-per-week position. The position requires a flexible work schedule, including occasional evening and weekend hours. Candidates should possess strong computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and Canva, as well as a working knowledge of available community resources and organizations. The Director of Programs and Services provides one-on-one support to women and families through Community Resource Coaching, goal planning, advocacy, and resource navigation. This position assists clients in identifying needs, developing action plans, overcoming barriers, and accessing community resources that support long-term stability and self-sufficiency. The Director of Programs and Services is responsible for coordinating and overseeing programs and services that align with the Women's Resource Center's mission. This position may facilitate support groups, workshops, educational programming, and special initiatives designed to empower women and strengthen families. The Director of Programs and Services oversees the Women's Resource Center volunteer program, including volunteer recruitment, training, scheduling, supervision, retention, and recognition. This position works closely with volunteers to ensure they are equipped to provide trauma-informed, client-centered support and advance the organization's mission. The Director of Programs and Services is responsible for maintaining accurate client records, compiling program data, tracking outcomes, and preparing reports that demonstrate program impact and effectiveness for grant applications, funders, board reports, and organizational planning. This position also assists with program evaluation and helps ensure that services are delivered effectively and in accordance with organizational goals. The Director of Programs and Services assists staff and volunteers in the daily operations of the Women's Resource Center and works collaboratively with community partners to connect clients with appropriate resources and services. The ideal candidate is a compassionate team player with excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, a friendly and personable disposition, and a strong commitment to empowering women and families. The Director of Programs and Services reports directly to the Executive Director. Key Responsibilities Provide Community Resource Coaching, advocacy, and goal-planning services to women and families. Conduct client intakes, assessments, referrals, and follow-up support. Coordinate and oversee Women's Resource Center programs and services. Facilitate support groups, workshops, and educational programming as needed. Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and recognize volunteers. Maintain accurate client and program records. Compile program data and track measurable outcomes. Prepare reports for grants, funders, board meetings, and organizational planning. Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and referral agencies. Assist with program evaluation and continuous improvement efforts. Support the daily operations of the Women's Resource Center. Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Counseling, Psychology, Nonprofit Management, or a related field preferred. Equivalent education and/or relevant work experience will be considered. Experience in case management, resource coordination, counseling, social services, volunteer management, nonprofit programming, or a related field preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience with data collection, outcome measurement, and report preparation preferred. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with staff, volunteers, clients, and community partners.
