Responsibilities:

Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the social service programs. • Provide information to residents/families as to Medicare/Medicaid, and other financial assistance programs available to the resident. Assist the Quality Assessment & Assurance Committee in developing and implementing appropriate plans of action to correct identified deficiencies. Assume the authority, responsibility, and accountability of directing the social service department.

Qualifications:

Minimum of a bachelor's degree in social work, Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, or related field, and/or NHCA 36-hour Social Work. Will maintain required credits in accordance with licensure requirements as needed. • Must be a minimum of 18 years old.

Skills:

In-depth knowledge of long-term care procedures and resident care. Great knowledge of legal regulations and best practices in healthcare. Excellent ability to lead and develop personnel. Great communication and people skills.
